This past weekend in Seoul was packed with unforgettable experiences—from seeing one of my favorite K-pop groups live to getting my very first perm in Korea! It was a mix of excitement, nerves, and pure joy, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the most memorable weekends of my time abroad so far.
TXT Concert
This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend a concert by TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT)—and what made it even more special was that I had floor tickets. I was incredibly close to the stage, which made the experience feel much more immersive than I expected. Seeing the performers up close allowed me to really appreciate the level of detail and effort that goes into their choreography, vocals, and stage presence.
The concert was held in a large venue packed with fans from around the world, but being on the floor made the experience feel much more personal and immersive. I purchased my tickets through Global Interpark, which made the process fairly smooth for international fans. You can check out their site [here]. The production quality was top-notch, with impressive lighting, visuals, and seamless transitions between songs. Each member brought their own energy to the stage, and from where I was standing, it was easy to see their facial expressions and interactions with the crowd, which made the performance feel personal. I was so close that I captured a great video of my bias, Beomgyu, performing—and it almost looked like he was looking right into my camera.
My First Korean Perm
A couple of days after the concert, I decided to do something I’ve always wanted to try—get a Korean-style perm! I booked an appointment at a salon recommended by a friend and walked in feeling both nervous and excited. The stylist was super kind and professional, and we discussed the look I was going for: soft, natural waves with some volume.
The process took a few hours, but it was totally worth it. When I saw the final result, I couldn’t stop smiling—it was exactly what I had hoped for! The curls gave my hair so much more texture and movement, and I honestly felt like a new person. Plus, getting pampered in a Korean salon was such a unique experience in itself. The attention to detail and the relaxing vibe made it so enjoyable.
