The second week of June marked a major milestone—the day of my final exam at Yonsei University. It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing semester abroad and look back on everything I’d experienced.

Final Exam

After some steady preparation, I finished my last exam feeling relieved and proud. It was exciting to have some free time ahead and to plan a trip with my friends before heading home.

Day Tour in Tokyo

Right after exams, my friends and I traveled to Tokyo for a quick trip full of sightseeing and fun.

  • Hakone Shrine: Our first stop was the peaceful Hakone Shrine, nestled by a serene lake surrounded by tall trees. It was a beautiful spot to pause and enjoy nature away from the city noise.

  • 7-Eleven Convenience Store for Mount Fuji View: We stopped by a 7-Eleven that’s popular for its views of Mount Fuji. Though it was a gloomy day and the mountain was mostly hidden by clouds, it was still fun to visit and take in the area.

  • Oishi Park: We spent some time at Oishi Park, soaking in the scenic views of the lake and mountains. The fresh air and peaceful surroundings made it a great place to relax and take photos.

  • Arakurayama Sengen Park: Famous for its red pagoda with Mount Fuji in the background, this park was a highlight. Even with the cloudy weather, the view and walk up to the pagoda made it worth it.

Disney Sea and Tokyo Disneyland

The best part of the trip was spending two magical days at Disney Sea and Tokyo Disneyland. I’m so thankful to my grandparents for booking my friends and me a stay at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel—it felt surreal waking up just steps away from the parks.

Every moment was filled with excitement and wonder. From thrilling rides to colorful parades, delicious snacks, and character meet-and-greets, it was an unforgettable experience. The joyful atmosphere and attention to detail made celebrating finishing finals even more special.

Looking back, this trip reminded me how important it is to balance school with fun and adventure. I’m grateful for my friends, my family, and the amazing memories made along the way. Tokyo gave me moments of both peaceful reflection and pure joy—experiences I’ll treasure forever.
