Yonsei Application Supporting Documents
  1. Official e-Transcript

    • Must be issued within 30 days from the application submission date.

    • Screenshots and unofficial records will not be accepted.

    • Order your e-Transcript [here] and send it to yourself.

  2. ID Photo

    • Will be used for your Yonsei Student ID card.

  3. Photocopy of Passport ID Page

    • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the semester start date.

  4. Official e-Bank/Financial Statement

    • Must be under your name. If issued under a parent’s name, attach a verification document (e.g., birth certificate).

    • Must clearly display your name, account number, and remaining balance.

    • Minimum balance requirement:

      • $4,000 USD for a one-semester exchange.

      • $10,000 USD for a one-year exchange.

    • Must be issued within 30 days from the application submission date.

    • Must be in English or Korean.

  5. Study Plan

    • A Microsoft Word template will be provided for you to complete.

    • Should include details on your purpose for applying, major, self-introduction, and educational background.

  6. Proof of Health Insurance (can be submitted after admission confirmation)

    • Must include:

      • Full name of the insured.

      • Coverage period (must be valid for your entire stay in Korea).

      • Coverage location (must be valid in Korea).

    • A photocopy of the front/back of an insurance card is NOT acceptable.

    • Personal Experience: For my proof of health insurance, once I received my policy number from the MIX advisor, I created an account on AIG and emailed assistance@aig.com to request a personalized health insurance letter.
